How do I enable two-factor-authentication (2FA)?

Update 03-03-2021:

If it is required that you update your 2FA and you have already enabled 2FA, you will be prompted to do so once you login to LiteBit. Follow the instructions and you will be able to update your 2FA.

If you do not get a prompt you do not need to update your 2FA.

 

Authenticator app

  1. Log in to LiteBit
  2. Click on your name at the top right
  3. 'Settings'
  4. '2FA' (left on the page)
  5. 'Change your 2FA settings'
  6. 'Authenticator app'
  7. Download an Authenticator app, for example Google Authenticator
  8. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app
  9. Enter the 2FA code This appears in your authenticator app
  10. Keep your recovery code in a safe place*
  11. 2FA through the authenticator app is enabled

*Do you have a new phone, or have you removed the app? You can restore this by using the recovery code.

SMS

  1. Log in to LiteBit
  2. Click on your name at the top right
  3. 'Settings'
  4. '2FA' (left on the page)
  5. 'Change your 2FA settings'
  6. 'SMS'
  7. Enter your 2FA code from the Authenticator app, which already protects your account
  8. Enter your new 2FA code. You will have received this by SMS
  9. Your 2FA by SMS is switched on
