On some occasions, LiteBit temporarily runs out of stock/ available supplies. The main reasons for being out of stock are as following:
- The cause can be that a significant amount of orders is made which can cause the stock to be completely bought up in a short period of time.
- At that moment there is insufficient trading budget available to trade with. LiteBit has its own work capital, and because of a huge increase in demand, LiteBit cannot fulfill new orders anymore because of being sold out due to all those orders.
Short summary: LiteBit deposits money every day on its trading bank account so LiteBit can trade. In the weekend these bank accounts can be depleted due to high demand in the weekend. Banks sadly don't process transactions during the weekend so LiteBit cannot trade with the given money till being deposited on Monday.
This is the reason why on Monday afternoon the stocks are getting replenished again.
LiteBit will always make sure that stock will be replenished the fastest it can. To have an understanding about the volume of transactions on LiteBit you can always have a look on this page to see the last 1000 orders. See last 1000 orders.
